  10. TimeCapture is an electronic time clock program designed to take the hassle
  11. out of recording and tabulating employee times, and adds a nice collection
  12. of "extras" that mechanical time clocks just can't offer.  Though written
  13. as a DOS program, it works great in Windows - especially Windows 95!
  14.  
  15. Here are some of the new features added to this version:
  16.  
  17.  - The limit for the number of times employees can clock in and out has
  18.    been removed.  Now employees can clock in and out as many times per
  19.    day as they need to.  This allows for breaks and similar unpaid times.
  20.  - The program will bridge the midnight hour if an employee's shift starts
  21.    before midnight and ends afterwards.  Earlier versions did not have this
  22.    ability.
  23.  - Employees can be grouped by department when viewing or printing times.
  24.  - Overtime can be calculated by day or overall time period, and you can
  25.    split 2-week pay periods.
  26.  - A bulletin board system has been added that allows the employer to
  27.    leave messages to employees, and employees can leave messages to the
  28.    boss.  The function to allow messages from employees can be activated
  29.    on an employee-by-employee basis - or for all employees with one
  30.    keystroke - and they only see it as an option if you activate it for them.
  31.  - Employees can view and print their own times - but only their own times.
  32.    They do not have the ability to edit the times.  As with the bulletin
  33.    board feature, this feature can be activated on an employee-by-employee
  34.    basis or activated for all;  if it's not activated, they don't see it
  35.    as an option on the screen.
  36.  - Printing capabilities have been greatly enhanced, with many more options.
  37.  - There is a screen that tells you - at a glance - who's "in" or "out" at
  38.    that moment.
  39.  - You can add Vacation, Holiday, and Sick time, or define your own types
  40.    of time.  For example, you could add a category for Training time.
  41.  - You can set the computer's date and time from within the program.

  43. The registered version also includes the following:

  47.  - A utility that allows you to lock out the ability for the employee to
  48.    change the computer's date and time.  However, you can deactivate it
  49.    when you need to do so.
